Disclosure: Yesa is our app. We publish this page and benefit if you choose Yesa. Everything we say about other platforms comes from their own websites and store listings, read on 18 October 2026, and the sources are linked at the bottom. Where we could not find something, we say so rather than guess.

Quick answer

Dtunes has not shut down: it rebranded as Swapto in September 2026, and dtunes.ng now opens useswapto.com. It sells crypto for naira and pays bills; we could not find gift cards on its current website. If you want an alternative, pick by what you need: the exact naira amount on screen before you confirm with zero fees and gift cards in the same app (Yesa, our app), automatic conversion on deposit (Quickchain), a crypto-only app with a web version (Coinstick), buying any token with naira (Daya Coins), or a P2P market (Remitano).

What happened to Dtunes

Dtunes rebranded as Swapto. Swapto's website says it was "formerly Dtunes" and has been turning crypto into naira since 2021, and ThisDay reported the rebrand in September 2026, saying existing customers keep their accounts, balances and transaction history and the app updates by itself. When we checked on 18 October 2026, dtunes.ng redirected to useswapto.com.

So if you are searching for Dtunes reviews, the store listings now carry the Swapto name: on Google Play, Swapto (formerly Dtunes) had 50K+ downloads and a 4.0 rating from 719 reviews, and on the App Store it had 4.4 from 484 ratings, both read in Nigeria on 18 October 2026.

Is Dtunes for crypto, gift cards or both?

Today it is crypto. Swapto's website describes it as a platform for selling cryptocurrency and paying bills, and its Google Play listing lists only coins under what you can sell: Bitcoin, USDT on TRC-20, ERC-20 and BEP-20, Ethereum, Solana, USDC, BNB, XRP, Litecoin, Tron and Bitcoin Cash. Bills cover electricity, DStv, GOtv, Startimes, airtime and data. Virtual cards are listed as coming soon.

Under the Dtunes name, older store listings also advertised gift cards. We could not find gift cards on Swapto's current website or Google Play listing. If gift cards are what you used Dtunes for, the alternatives below that list gift cards are Yesa and Quickchain. Today's rates for common cards are on our gift card rates page.

What Swapto does well

Credit where it is due. Swapto says the app shows the exact naira amount before you confirm a sale, and that the rate you see when you confirm is the rate that applies. You can hold your crypto or switch on auto-sell so every deposit becomes naira when it lands. It states bank payouts of 5 to 10 minutes, and its FAQ puts a full sale at 10 to 30 minutes end to end, depending on the network. It publishes support hours of 9am to 9pm every day.

What it does not publish: a fee figure. Its FAQ says the app shows the exact naira amount before you confirm and that network fees from your sending wallet are separate.

Dtunes and the alternatives, side by side

Only what each app publishes about itself, checked 18 October 2026. "Stated" means a figure the app gives, not published measurements.

Five Dtunes alternatives

1. Yesa (our app)

Best for: the exact naira amount before you confirm, zero fees, and gift cards in the same app.

We build Yesa, so we list it first and say so. You see the exact naira amount on screen before you confirm a crypto sale, and the sale settles at that amount. There are zero fees to sell crypto, to buy crypto and to sell gift cards. Withdraw to any Nigerian bank: across 1,700 measured payouts the median was 4.7 seconds, historical rather than guaranteed. Gift cards, airtime, data, TV and electricity come from the same naira balance. Yesa is registered with the CAC as Yesatrix Technologies Limited, RC 9897554.

What to watch: like Swapto, Yesa does not convert on deposit by itself; you press sell when the amount suits you.

2. Quickchain

Best for: automatic conversion on deposit, close to Swapto's auto-sell.

Quickchain's Google Play listing says deposited crypto is automatically swapped to naira and credited to your Quickchain naira wallet, then you withdraw to your bank. Its website lists gift cards (verified in about 18 minutes after you upload a photo), bills, betting wallet top-ups and a virtual dollar card, and says most transactions settle in 2 to 5 minutes. Google Play 4.1 from 208 reviews, 10K+ downloads.

What to watch: there is no figure to approve before your deposit converts, and we could not find a fee schedule. Our Quickchain review.

3. Coinstick

Best for: a crypto-only app that also works in a web browser.

Coinstick's website says you pick a coin, see the live naira rate and convert, with naira in your bank in under 9 seconds. Its rate ticker lists BTC, USDT, ETH, LTC, USDC, BNB, SOL, PYUSD, TRX and XRP, and it lists buying and swapping crypto. Google Play 4.3 from 70 reviews, 10K+ downloads.

What to watch: its speed is stated rather than measured, its rates are described as indicative until the transaction, and we could not find a fee schedule. Our Coinstick review.

4. Daya Coins

Best for: buying almost any token with naira.

Daya Coins gives you your own naira account to fund by bank transfer, then you buy and sell crypto, including trending tokens or any token by contract address. Its website says it charges no buy, sell, withdrawal or network fee on your side. Google Play 5.0 from 11 reviews, 100+ downloads.

What to watch: the app is new, with a short public track record, and it does not publish a bank withdrawal time. Our Daya review.

5. Remitano

Best for: people who still want a P2P market.

Remitano is an international exchange running since 2014, with Swap to sell crypto for naira at a quoted rate and an escrow-protected P2P market with local buyers, per its Google Play listing. Google Play 4.2 from 43.3K reviews, 1M+ downloads.

What to watch: on P2P a stranger is on the other side, so confirm the naira is in your bank before you release; its listings publish no payout time. Our Remitano review.

Dtunes alternatives: common questions

Is Dtunes still working?

Yes, under a new name. Dtunes rebranded as Swapto in September 2026. Swapto says existing customers keep their accounts and balances, and when we checked on 18 October 2026, dtunes.ng redirected to useswapto.com.

Is Dtunes for crypto or gift cards?

Today it is a crypto app. Swapto's website and Google Play listing describe selling crypto for naira and paying bills; we could not find gift cards on either. Older Dtunes store listings also advertised gift cards.

What do Dtunes reviews say?

The reviews now sit under the Swapto name. On 18 October 2026 in Nigeria, Swapto (formerly Dtunes) had a 4.0 rating from 719 reviews and 50K+ downloads on Google Play, and 4.4 from 484 ratings on the App Store. Read the most recent reviews on the store before you send anything.

What is the best Dtunes alternative in Nigeria?

It depends on what you used Dtunes for. For the exact naira amount on screen before you confirm, zero fees and gift cards in the same app, we built Yesa for that. For automatic conversion on deposit, Quickchain. For buying almost any token with naira, Daya Coins. For P2P, Remitano.

Where can I sell gift cards now that Dtunes is crypto only?

On Yesa you sell gift cards for naira with the rate on screen before you submit and zero fees to sell, and the naira lands in the same balance as your crypto. Quickchain also lists gift cards.

How fast will the naira reach my bank?

Across 1,700 measured bank payouts on Yesa, the median payout time was 4.7 seconds. These are historical measurements, not guarantees. The on-chain part, your crypto reaching Yesa, comes first and depends on the network you send on.

Is it legal to sell crypto in Nigeria?

Yes. Buying, holding and selling cryptocurrency is legal for individuals in Nigeria. Digital assets are recognised under the Investments and Securities Act 2025, and the Securities and Exchange Commission regulates digital asset services. Crypto is not legal tender, and profits from trading may be taxable, so keep your own records of what you buy and sell. This is general information rather than legal or tax advice; the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Central Bank of Nigeria publish the current position.
