How to sell USDT on Binance in Nigeria: P2P or send to Yesa

For years, selling USDT on Binance meant its naira P2P market. That market closed in February 2024 and, when we checked in October 2026, it still showed no naira offers. Here is what selling on Binance can still mean, and the route that ends in your bank.

Binance naira P2P: the position in October 2026

Binance has offered no naira P2P market since 28 February 2024.

Its own announcement set the dates: naira P2P pairs were delisted on 28 February 2024, naira deposits ended on 5 March and naira withdrawals on 8 March 2024. Naira left in Binance accounts after that was converted to USDT.

We checked Binance's P2P market again on 10 October 2026, searching for offers to buy USDT with naira. It returned none. Some guides online still describe selling USDT for naira on Binance P2P step by step; those instructions are out of date. If Binance restores the naira, we will update this page.

Selling through Yesa, in brief

01

Copy your Yesa USDT address

Choose USDT in Yesa and a network the deposit screen lists.

02

Withdraw from Binance on that network

The on-chain withdrawal, not an internal transfer. Read the final amount before you confirm.

03

Sell and withdraw

Sell at the naira figure on screen, with zero sell fees, then send the naira to any Nigerian bank account.

Every Binance screen, including account choice, fee handling and the network list, is explained in withdraw USDT from Binance to a Nigerian bank.

Offers to buy your USDT outside Binance

Since the naira market closed, some people offer to buy USDT "Binance style" over WhatsApp or Telegram: you send USDT to their address or their Binance ID, and they promise a bank transfer. Binance's escrow does not cover a deal agreed outside its P2P market, so if the money never comes, there is nobody to complain to.

If you deal with a person, wait until the naira is actually in your bank app before you send anything, and be wary of payments from an account in someone else's name. Or skip the person: an app that buys the USDT itself shows you the naira figure first. The trade-offs of each route are compared in how to cash out USDT in Nigeria. This guide explains how to move and sell crypto you already hold. It is not a view on whether to sell, hold or buy any coin, and nothing here is financial advice.

Sell USDT on Binance in Nigeria: common questions

Can I still sell USDT for naira on Binance P2P?

No. Binance delisted naira P2P on 28 February 2024, and when we checked on 10 October 2026 its P2P market showed no naira offers.

Does Binance still work in Nigeria?

Binance accounts can still hold crypto and withdraw it to an outside address. What Binance no longer does is turn crypto into naira or pay a Nigerian bank.

What is the easiest way to sell USDT that is on Binance?

Withdraw it on a network your Yesa deposit screen lists, sell it in Yesa at the naira figure on screen, and withdraw to any Nigerian bank account.

Is selling USDT to someone on WhatsApp safe?

It carries real risk. Binance's protection does not cover deals made outside its P2P market. Never release USDT before the naira is in your account, and treat payment from a third party's account with caution.

Will Binance bring back naira?

We do not know. This page records what Binance's own announcement says and what its P2P market showed on the date checked, and we will update it if that changes.

Is selling USDT legal in Nigeria?

Yes. Buying, holding and selling cryptocurrency is legal for individuals in Nigeria. Digital assets are recognised under the Investments and Securities Act 2025, and the Securities and Exchange Commission regulates digital asset services. Crypto is not legal tender, and profits from trading may be taxable, so keep your own records of what you buy and sell. This is general information rather than legal or tax advice; the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Central Bank of Nigeria publish the current position.
