Dogecoin runs on its own blockchain, launched in December 2013. A new block arrives about every minute, so a transfer usually confirms within minutes, and the network fee is normally small.
Bitcoin stops at 21 million coins. Dogecoin has no limit: every block adds 10,000 new DOGE, about 5 billion a year. That is why one DOGE costs a small fraction of what one Bitcoin does, and why a modest naira amount buys whole coins.

Real Dogecoin lives on the Dogecoin network. Some exchanges also list a copy on another chain.
Dogecoin addresses on its own network usually start with the letter D. Some exchanges and wallets also offer DOGE on BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20), which is a token on a different network with a different kind of address. The two are not interchangeable: coins sent on one network to an address that expects the other can be lost.
When you move DOGE you hold elsewhere into Yesa, send only on a network your Yesa deposit screen lists, paste the address rather than typing it, and send a small test amount the first time.
If you already hold naira in Yesa, from selling crypto or gift cards, you can spend it straight away. You choose the coin and the amount, confirm, and the coin lands in your Yesa wallet. There is no transfer to make and no waiting for a bank.
